Navman GPS for
Compaq iPAQ PCs and PC Mapper
| Precision Course Management is proud to offer the new “Navman” GPS
receiver for use with a Compaq iPAQ and PC Mapper. The Navman GPS
is an integrated solution that turns a Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC into a compact
golf course mapping system. Navman provides all of the items needed, including the GPS receiver sleeve for the iPAQ, vehicle power adapter and a basic suction cup mounting bracket. The GPS can be mounted on a flat surface using the supplied flexible mounting-bracket and single levered suction cup. The Navman GPS also includes a CompactFlash (CF) memory card slot to provide additional memory capability to the iPAQ. |
Navman’s 12-channel GPS receiver connects up to 12 satellites to calculate position, direction and speed.
GPS Mapping Software
The Navman GPS receiver is designed to work with PC Mapper. Users will need to have version 8.0 of PC Mapper or higher. Additionally, the receiver requires the Windows CE ROM version 1.77 or higher (this will be included with PC Mapper starting in late October, 2001).
